1. Reservations:

In case the selected model is not available, our company reserves the right to provide the customer with another similar vehicle belonging to the same category as the chosen model, or even a larger category vehicle, without any additional cost to the customer.

2. Driver Age

• Minimum age: 22 years
• Maximum age: 75 years
• Drivers must have held a full driving license for at least 1 year
• A valid passport must be presented upon collection as additional proof of identity

3.Driving License Requirements

Accepted licenses include those issued in:

• European Community, United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, Canada, Australia
• Also accepted are licenses from countries party to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, including:
• Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Central African Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Georgia, Ghana, Guyana, Holy See, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Niger, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, San Marino, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tajikistan, Thailand, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe

4.Collection Time

Vehicles are held for up to two hours after the agreed collection time. Please contact us if you will arrive later.

5.Included in Your Booking Cost

• Mileage Allowance
  The Vehicle is provided with an unlimited Kilometer / Mileage Allowance.
• Third Party Liability Insurance
  Third party motor liability insurance is provided in accordance with local legislation.

• Roadside Assistance
  24 hour roadside assistance is provided.
• Taxes & Surcharges
  Your booking includes all local taxes and premium location fee.

6.Deposit Policy

Deposits are fully refundable upon the return of the vehicle in the agreed-upon condition. The deposit also serves as insurance. In case of missing keys, fuel, or damage, the maximum liability is the deposit amount.

7.Refunds
No credit or refund is given for unused rental time.

8.Additional Drivers

• Arranged and paid for locally (not included in the basic rental price)
• Must present passport or ID, along with a valid driving license
• Age restrictions apply

9.Fuel Policy
Fuel is paid by the client. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection. Any difference will be charged locally.

10.Fines and Penalties
You are responsible for all parking fines or other penalties incurred during the rental period. Additional administrative fees may apply.

11.Delivery and Pickup

Within the city, airport, port and nearby locations it is FREE from 08:00 to 22:00. For pickup and drop-off outside these hours, the charges are:

22:00 – 00:00 – €8
00:00 – 07:00 – €15
07:00 – 08:00 – €8

12.Late Returns
Returning the vehicle later than the agreed time may result in additional charges.

13.Accidents
In the event of an accident, you must: A) contact the police and report the incident immediately, B) notify the company immediately and file an accident report with your insurance company, and C) submit a copy of the police report and the rental agreement to the rental location. If there is no official report, the renter is fully responsible for the damages.

14.Ferrying Vehicle Policy
All of our vehicles are not permitted to leave Corfu Island to travel to another part of Greece or to leave the Country. All ferry journeys are not permitted. Legal actions will be taken if this rule is not adhered to.

15.Animals and Pets
Pets are not allowed in the vehicles.

16. Insurance:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess amount.

Is included in the booking cost and reduces your financial liability up to a maximum of €250,00

Full Damage Waiver (FDW)

FDW limits the liability in case of accidents to €0 (Zero) by paying the daily amount of €7,00

**Please note that damages to the interior of the car (upholstery, dashboard, r/cd) as well as keys,  wheel cover, antennas,etc are not covered by any insurance unless they were caused in an accident. Therefore, despite the extra insurances, our car rental partner may still reserve an amount up to 200 euro for damages that are not covered by any other insurance.

17.CDW & FDW Exclusions

The following damages are not covered by CDW or FDW and will be charged directly to the customer, regardless of whether the coverage was accepted. These include damage or loss to the radio antenna, ashtrays and internal storage compartments, vehicle locks, vehicle keys, windshield wipers, the vehicle’s interior, the spare key and jack, hubcaps, lighting units, fuel tank cap, upholstery, the roof of the vehicle, as well as any damage caused by roof racks or luggage attached to them. Additionally, excessive dirt inside the vehicle, loss or damage of personal belongings left in the vehicle, damages due to negligence, the use of incorrect or unsuitable fuel, damage to child or baby seats, battery drainage caused by leaving electrical devices on, and the loss of vehicle documents or license plates are also excluded from coverage.

The rental company is under no obligation to replace flat or punctured tires or to repair any damage to audio equipment such as the radio, CD, or MP3 player. Towing costs are not covered by any insurance policy. Melina Car Rental will not reimburse any expenses related to phone usage, taxi fares, or hotel accommodation. Furthermore, Melina Car Rental or the rental company accepts no responsibility for any driver operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, causing intentional damage, driving off-road, driving without due care and attention, or causing damage due to negligence or violation of traffic laws. In such cases, the customer assumes full responsibility. Any unreported damage or accident may be considered negligence and may result in charges to the customer.

18.Cancellation Policy

If you cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled vehicle pickup, no cancellation fee will be charged. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, the cancellation fee will equal the amount paid at the time of booking/confirmation.
